Every patient arrives with a different set of concerns, expectations, and questions. The aim at each stage of the process is to make that experience feel personal and without pressure.
Getting Started
The first step is simply getting in touch, whether by phone or email. There is no obligation attached to an enquiry, and patients are welcome to ask questions before committing to an appointment.
The Consultation
The consultation is where the process properly begins. The practitioner will take time to understand the patient’s skin, their concerns, and what they are hoping to achieve. Where a concern falls within the normal range and treatment is not indicated, that will be said directly. Where treatment is appropriate, the options will be explained clearly, including what is realistic to expect, how many sessions may be involved, and what recovery looks like.
Before any treatment is recommended, the practitioner will also consider the patient as a whole. A psychological readiness assessment is completed prior to every treatment, not only at the initial consultation, to ensure that the timing and nature of any treatment remains appropriate for the individual as circumstances may change over time. This is a standard part of the clinic’s approach to care and is in place to support good outcomes for every patient. Where the assessment identifies a concern that falls outside what can be appropriately managed within an aesthetic consultation, the practitioner will discuss this openly and, where appropriate, refer the patient to a suitable healthcare professional before any treatment proceeds.
